Upgrades – New York State Bicycle Racing Association

As of March 1, 2020 USA Cycling has assumed responsibility for rider category upgrades, except for track.

Track:

The NYSBRA Track Coordinator works with the Kissena Track Operator, the New York Velodrome Association (NYVA), who follows the Kissena Velodrome Race Category Upgrade/Downgrade Policy.
As per long-standing NYSBRA policy, the appeal process for track upgrades remains to appeal first to the NYSBRA Vice President, then to the NYSBRA President, then to USA Cycling.
The NYSBRA Track Coordinator will consider, on a case by case basis, results from non-USAC sanctioned domestic events and certain international track events such as those held in the Mattamy National Cycling Centre (i.e., Milton) sanctioned by the Ontario Cycling Association.
