In 2013 NYSBRA was the first Local Association in the country to sign up for USA Cycling’s new RaceClean program. We backed our commitment to the program by providing over $6,000 in funding for anti-doping testing by USADA at two events plus one additional optional test every year. NYSBRA raised funds for these additional tests by coordinating donations from a $2 check-out item in BikeReg, and the individuals, private sponsors, and clubs listed below.
Although USA Cycling and USADA assumed the financial responsibility for testing in 2017 (and reduced rebates to Local Associations such as NYSBRA by a corresponding amount), NYSBRA continues to fully support the USA Cycling RaceClean Program.
NYSBRA also continues to coordinate anti-doping tests by USADA at about two New York events every year. For further information, contact the NYSBRA President.
