Targeted Grants
These grants are ideas NYSBRA has to help build up competitive cycling. So far we have four programs, but we are always looking for people like you to send ideas for more!
- New Officials: NYSBRA will reimburse promoters the $50 fee for hiring Level “C” officials. Officials get experience and promoters get more help- free!
- NY Championship Events: NYSBRA grants $500 to the promoters of the five NY state championship events (Road, TT, Crit, Cross, and Juniors). You want better champ events? We are trying!
- Collegiate Cycling: NYSBRA grants $500 to any collegiate program that promotes at least one USAC event a year. Collegiate riders could just be our next pros!
- “Free Entry for Champions”: NYSBRA will grant $100 per event to any promoter that advertises and gives free entry for reigning NY champions (in the same race discipline). So go win a Championship jersey and wear it while you race!
- Junior and Women Cat 4 Separate Field Grant: NYSBRA will grant $100 per event to any promoter that offers separate fields for Juniors and/or Women Cat 4 in a new event or an event where they did not previously exist. These fields must be separate on the course and not combined with other fields. The goal is to encourage more juniors and beginning women racers.
